Rie's African Adventure Part One: Botswana and Zambia

Back in July, while Kath stayed in Gaborone, I set out in search of VERY LARGE ANIMALS. First stop -- the Okavango Delta, Botswana. No large animals here, but I did get to spend a day in a mokoro, the traditional fishing boat.

VERY LARGE TERMITE NEST, easily 5 feet tall

In northern Botswana I joined a safari into Chobe National Park. Here's where the large animals were hanging out! And, because it was winter, they were very easy to see.

With the setting sun, we headed for our camp in the bush.

Crossing over the border into Zambia, I took a look at Victoria Falls.
